مطلوب لهذه الشهادة إختبارين هما :

1- 1Z0-007 (Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL

ويغطي هذا الإختبار المواضيع التالية :
• SELECT statements
• DML statements (INSERT, UPDATE, MERGE, DELETE)
• transaction control statements (COMMIT, ROLLBACK)
• DDL statements (for example, CREATE TABLE, ALTER TABLE, DROP TABLE)
• DCL statements (GRANT, REVOKE)
2- 1Z0-031 (Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals I)
ويغطي هذا الإختبار المواضيع التالية :

• Basic SGA memory structure configuration (buffer cache and pools, shared pool, large pool, etc.)

الإختبار الاول يحتوي على 60 سؤال ( عبارة عن اختيارات متعدده ) يتم الاجابة عليها خلال 120 دقيقة اي بمعدل دقيقتين لكل سؤال ، تحتاج للنجاح في هذا الامتحان حل 42 سؤال على الاقل حلا صحيحاً اي على الاقل بمعدل 70 % من اسئلة الاختبار يتم الاجابة عليها إجابة صحيحة حتى يتم اجتياز الامتحان الاول .
الاختبار الثاني يحتوي على 60 سؤال (عبارة عن اختيارات متعددة ) يتم الاجابة عليها خلال 90 دقيقة ، تحتاج للنجاح في هذا الامتحان حل 44 سؤال على الاقل حلا صحيحا اي بمعدل 73 % من مجموع اسئلة الاختبار يجب ان يتم الاجابة عليها حتى تستطيع اجتيازة .

Oracle9i Certified Professional Database Administrator (OCP)
الاختبارات المطلوبة : -
1- Exam 1 (1Z0-007) – Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL
2- Exam 2 (1Z0-031) – Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals I
اي يشترط الحصول على (OCA ) مسبقاً ويضاف اليهما الإختبارين التالية :
3- Exam 3 (1Z0-032) – Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals II
عدد الاسئلة ( 63) سؤال عبارة عن إختيارات متعددة ، مدة الاختبار 90 دقيقة ، تحتاج على الاقل الى الاجابة على 40 سؤال بشكل صحيح لاجتياز الاختبار اي ما نسبته (65 % ) من مجموع الاسئلة الكلي ، ويتضمن هذا الاختبار المواضيع التالية :
the general need for Oracle Net, Oracle Corp.'s products that support applications in a networked environment
the benefits of Oracle Net
Oracle Net software architecture
Oracle Net name resolution methods (host naming, local naming, etc.)
shared server configuration and tuning
Oracle Net connection models (shared server, dedicated server, bequeathed, etc.)
Oracle Net disconnections
Oracle Net configuration files (sqlnet.ora, tnsnames.ora, listener.ora, etc.)
the TNS_ADMIN environment variable
network design
the Oracle Net Manager and Oracle Net Configuration Assistant
the purpose and configuration of a listener process
automatic service registration with the listener
static service registration with the listener
the Listener Control utility
transparent connection load balancing and failover
troubleshooting network connectivity problems
the TNSPING utility
failures that can damage an Oracle database system such as SQL statement failure, foreground and background process failure, system and instance crashes, disk (media) failures, and user errors
the roll forward (redo) and roll back (undo) recovery stages of crash, instance, and media recovery
the function of the database's online log members, archived log files, and undo (rollback) segments in database recovery
configuration of the database's online log groups and members, log archiving, checkpoints, and the control file
user-managed physical database backup and recovery using SQL commands and operating system commands
database backup and recovery using the Recovery Manager (RMAN) utility
logical database backup and recovery using the Import and Export utilities
detection and repair of data block corruption
bulk data loads of external data using the SQL*Loader utility
bulk data loads of internal data using direct-load INSERT statements
4- Exam 4 (1Z0-033 )– Oracle9i: Performance Tuning
عدد الاسئلة ( 65) سؤال عبارة عن إختيارات متعددة ، مدة الاختبار 90 دقيقة ، تحتاج على الاقل الى الاجابة على 46 سؤال بشكل صحيح لاجتياز الاختبار اي ما نسبته (70 % ) من مجموع الاسئلة الكلي ، ويتضمن هذا الاختبار المواضيع التالية :
the fundamental goals and strategies for Oracle database system and application tuning
the components that you can tune to affect overall performance
the roles that application designers, developers, database administrators, system administrators, and application end users play in the tuning process
the steps in SQL statement processing (e.g., open a cursor, parse)
registering application information in the data dictionary with the DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO package
techniques for using shared SQL and maximizing application performance
gathering optimizer statistics to ensure optimal execution plans
revealing SQL statement execution plans with the SQL command EXPLAIN PLAN and the SQL*Plus AUTOTRACE feature
controlling optimizer behavior with initialization parameters, hints, and stored outlines
monitoring SQL statement performance statistics in the dynamic performance views
monitoring SQL statements using SQL tracing and TKPROF
designing transactions
controlling and monitoring data locks (e.g., table locks, row locks)
avoiding deadlocks
setting isolation levels and extending read consistency
minimizing disk I/O with indexes (normal, bitmap, and function-based), index-organized tables, and clusters (indexed and hash)
tuning host operating system memory and disk I/O
tuning a database instance's buffer cache
configuring multiple buffer pools (default, keep, and recycle pools) in the buffer cache
measuring dictionary cache and library cache hit ratios
tuning a database instance's shared pool for general use
tuning a database instance's shared pool for shared server sessions
preventing fragmentation of shared pool memory
monitoring database I/O using dynamic performance views
using tablespaces and data files to reduce contention for database data
tuning the database writer background process(es)
tuning database checkpoints
tuning temporary (sort) space allocations
tuning redo log I/O with online log members and the redo log buffer
using the UTLBSTAT and UTLESTAT utilities to gather tuning statistics
using Oracle Expert to tune an Oracle database system
