we use pointers when we want to make the maximum useful of the memory.

Now you have to learn the deffirance between static and dynamic (pointers) allocation.

1- the static alloc. is done through the programming which mean you specify the variables and constants throught before compiling and these variables will stay in the memory within the runtime of the program, on the other hand the dynamic solution is more flexible so you create the variable through the run time (under the operating system control) and free it (kill it) when you don't wnt it.

2- also the important thing is when you want to manipulate some od data you don't know there count so there isn't a maximum bound here you obligimised to use pointers for example sum a number of numbers you don't know there maximum count.
