Specifies whether tcp/ip automatically calculates an interface metric that is based on the speed of the interface.
the highest speed interface has lowest interface metric. the interface metric is used to determine the value of the metric column for all routes in the routing table derived from the inerface configuration this setting does not apply to the default route metric when the defult gateway is manually configured with a metric

lmhost يحتوي على عناوين الانترنت و يسمي نيتبيوس وانها الطريقه واحدة لحل اسماء نيتبيوس الي عناوين الانترنت .
LMHOST file predates the WINS server and can be used on networks to perform NetBIOS
name resolution, although it is rarely used anymore. The LMHOST file may be useful in
certain situations, though. For example you can set up the file to load a certain NetBIOS
name and IP address in a computer’s cache resulting in faster NetBIOS name resolutions.
This would prevent a client from having to broadcast on the network or find a WINS server
to resolve the NetBIOS name.
