A company has been commisioned to conduct some market research to investigate

usage of the Internet. A computer terminal is set up at a convenient location and

passers-by are interviewed. A keyboard operator inputs data according to each

interviewee’s response to the screen prompt as follows.

Do you have access to the Internet from home?

Enter Y (for yes) or N (for no).

When the response is Y a second question is asked:

Do you use email from home?

Enter Y (for yes) or N (for no).

After 100 passers-by have been interviewed, two totals are written out to the screen

together with descriptive messages, namely the total number who have access to

the Internet from home and the total number who make use of email. Typical

output might be as follows.

Of 100 interviewees :

57 have access to the Internet.

13 use email from home.

The program used is to be based on the following top-level design.

1 initialise variables

2 loop while there are more interviewees

3 process next interviewee’s response(s)

4 loopend

5 write out results
