search "this site" and search "this list" doesnt return any result

my question is :

why there is no search result is returned when i do search using "this site" or "this list" filter/scope ...but when i do search using "all sites" i get the results ..but as you from all sites and list ?

in details:

we have a medium farm :

2 x servers WFE (web front end)

1 x server Index and query

1 x server for Database SQL 2008 by the way

we have installed as client requested "Facted search: web parts and its working fine

i have checked the Alternative access mapping urls that match data source contenet urls and also did many many time the reset index and FULL crawl but no luck.

the application have about 10 site collections.

and content db is about 25 gig

we have created the search center in the application.

what could cause the this site and this list no to return any results ?

i have checked the search result page and the core result xml but there is nothing .

any thoughts on this will be highly regarded.

أتصل بي أحد خبراء من ميكرسوفت و هو في الصين !! و سوف أعمل معه رموت live meeting على الكمبيوتر و سوف أضع نتائج البحث معه هنا لكي تتم الأستفاده للجميع

اتصل مهندس من شركة مايكروسوفت وفعلنا ما يلي:

1. Current AAM settings :

 Only default zone which URL is http://intranet

2. The start address in content source is :

http://intranet

3. We extend a new web application from current site and the new site URL is : http://nameoftheserver

Steps 1 : Change current AAM settings to

• Default Zone : http://nameoftheserver

• Intranet Zone : http://intranet

Steps 2 : Check the URL in content source whether it is http://nameoftheserver

• We can check it from Shared Service Provider ( SSP ) -> Search Settings -> Content sources and crawl schedules -> Edit your “Content Source” -> Start Address

Steps 3 : Reset all crawled content

• We can do it from Central Administration -> Shared Service Provider ( SSP ) -> Search Settings -> Reset all crawled content

Steps 4 : Run a full crawl

سوف تستغرق full crawl

حوالي 40 ساعة لإنهاء و سوف أضع الاجابة هنا
