السلام عليكم ،،

في البداية لدي سؤال ، هل عندما اقوم بعمل BACKUP لجهاز سيرفر DC ثم اذا اردت أن أعمل RESTORE له ، هل لابد أن يكون على نفس الجهاز ، وماذا لو عملت RESTORE على جهاز سيرفر آخر هو بنفس مواصفات جهاز السيرفر القديم ؟

والسؤال يشرح ما لدي ، حيث أني اريد أن انقل السيرفر الرئيسي DC لجهاز سيرفر آخر ، هل اقوم بعمل ADDITIONAL SERVER مع العلم أنه لدي ADDITIONAL SERVER

ولكن على SITE اخرى .

the best option is to add additional domain controller, conigure it to be a GC and then remove the old server, this is the best and fastest way

ولكن بالنسبة لعملية حذف DC القديم هل هناك خطوات معينة ، أم أنه فقط اقوم بإضافة ADDITIONAL ومن ثم اجعله GC .

تم عمل ADDITIONAl DC بنجاح ولله الحمد ، ولكن في السيرفر القديم كان عليه DHCP وكذلك DNS فهل اقوم بإضافتهما بالطريقة الاعتيادية في السيرفر الجديد ADDITIONAL وذلك من خلال manage your server ثم بعد ذلك اقوم بعمل

restore لل dhcp وماذا عن dns .

the new server should have DNS installed already so nothing to do in DNS.

for DHCP, create a new DHCP server and create the same scope, there are no need to do restore for DHCP unless you have so many records that you want to preserve, if nothing fancy then remove the old one and add the new one.

removing the old one will be done using DCPROMO, but make sure that the new DC is global catalog
