لدي سؤال ولا اخفيكم صراحة انه سؤال واجب لي في الجامعة ....
ولكن انا وزملائي وجنا صعوبة في حله بل استعنا بدكاترة خارج الجامعة واكدوا لنا ان السؤال خطأ.... لكن منسق المادة مصر على ان السؤال صحيح... احترنا

والسؤال هو كالتالي:
SDH has a relatively simple structure (STM-1 frame) organized around a 125 ms frame as shown below. Each STM-1 (synchronous transport module) frame is represented as a single block 270 bytes wide and 9 bytes deep (see figure 1). In practice each frame is transmitted as a continuous sequence of bits, often called a bit-stream, with the last bit of one frame being immediately followed by the first bit of the next frame.
The first 9 columns of the STM-1 are allocated as overhead (see figure 2). The remaining 261 columns are called the payload area and are used to carry the SDH containers. The overhead is grouped into two areas: the regenerator section overhead (RSOH) and the multiplex section overhead (MSOH). Not all the bytes in the overhead have been allocated a specific function.

A file has been prepared that contains data of three STM-1 frames. You are asked to develop an algorithm and a program to read the frames data from the file and deliver the following:
i) Detect the start position of every frame.
ii) Determine the content of the overhead of every frame, by specifying the type (A, B or C...) of the overhead along with content.
iii) After locating the AU pointer you are kindly asked to convert into decimal number to determine the start of the AU.
You are free to choose the algorithm notation (flowchart, text, etc…) and the programming language. There is no need for a graphical user interface, the result can be displayed on the screen or saved in a text file. At the end you have to deliver the code listing and a snapshot of the program output.
